What is the reason why the cryogenic chiller does not cool?
During the operation of the chiller, the liquid refrigerant in the evaporator continuously absorbs heat from the water and begins to evaporate. After being compressed by the compressor and throttled by the expansion valve, it becomes a low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant and enters the evaporator for further circulation.
If used for too long, the refrigerant will evaporate, which will affect the cooling effect. Another reason is that the refrigerant has leaked, which does not affect refrigeration enough. Therefore, it is important to observe whether the refrigerant is sufficient. In the case of refrigerant leakage, it is necessary to check and repair the leakage. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check and clean the filter. When the blockage is severe, it is recommended to replace it with a new dry filter.
Another issue is that there are too many impurities in tap water that adhere to the inner wall of the water pipe, resulting in insufficient water supply and affecting the cooling effect. Therefore, for areas with poor water quality, it is recommended to carry out water treatment projects or regularly clean and replace water pipes to ensure the normal operation of the cold water system.
The condenser has not been cleaned for a long time and is one of the main components of the chiller. Most cooling water contains calcium, magnesium ions, and acidic carbonates. When the cooling water flows through the metal surface, carbonate is generated. In addition, oxygen dissolved in cooling water can also cause metal corrosion and form rust. Due to the generation of rust and scale, the heat exchange efficiency of the condenser decreases. When the scale is severe, it can block the pipes, making the heat exchange effect ineffective and affecting the refrigeration effect. Therefore, it is recommended to clean the condenser every six months.
After a period of use, the ice water unit is prone to adsorbing dust and debris. If not cleaned for a long time, it will affect the heat dissipation performance of the machine. Pipelines are also prone to scaling, breeding bacteria, and reducing cooling effectiveness. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly clean and maintain equipment and pipelines.
Insufficient power supply voltage and excessively long copper pipes between indoor and outdoor units can also cause the chiller or air conditioner to not cool. In addition, if the actual water temperature has already met the requirements, but the temperature on the display screen has not decreased, it is likely that the temperature sensor of the chiller is damaged. In this case, you only need to replace the temperature sensor.
