What happens when the temperature is too high when the air cooled water chiller system exhausts?

The exhaust temperature of the compressor in the air-cooled chiller determines whether the equipment can operate stably and efficiently. The compressor is prone to the problem of high exhaust temperature. Once this situation occurs, it is easy to cause the pressure of the air-cooled chiller to be too high, as well as high temperature rise, high load, decrease in the working efficiency and cooling capacity of the compressor, and other various problems.

Firstly, excessive exhaust temperature can lead to a decrease in the working efficiency of the condenser of the air-cooled chiller. There are many reasons for the high exhaust temperature, such as insufficient flow rate of cooling water or prolonged high water temperature, which can cause the exhaust temperature to be too high. Once the exhaust temperature of the compressor is too high, there will be problems with the working efficiency. In addition, after the high-temperature gas is discharged into the condenser, the condenser cannot completely cool the refrigerant, which may result in liquid accumulation. After long-term use, the working efficiency of the condenser will decrease, and accordingly, When the working efficiency of the condenser decreases, it will also affect the working efficiency of the compressor together.

When the suction pressure is low and the suction heat is high and the exhaust temperature is too high, the suction temperature will correspondingly increase. However, due to the high exhaust temperature of the compressor, it can be inferred that the compressor is relatively large. This is because the suction pressure during suction is inevitably low, which can be solved by reducing the compression ratio to reach a lower exhaust temperature and pressure.

Based on the above effects and causes of high exhaust temperature, it can be known that in order to reduce the exhaust temperature of the chiller, the compressor can be cooled. The cooling water in the water tank of the air-cooled chiller unit and the cooling water tower of the water-cooled industrial chiller exists for cooling and heat exchange of the condenser. It can take away the heat generated by the compressor’s operation. If the cooling water flow rate and the heat dissipation and ventilation capacity of the air-cooled industrial chiller water tank and the water-cooled industrial chiller water tower can be guaranteed, the cooling water temperature can be maintained within a limited range, thereby maximizing the cooling of the compressor.

The so-called direct reduction of the exhaust temperature of the compressor can be achieved by reducing the compression ratio and load of the compressor. Although reducing the compression ratio may reduce the efficiency of the compressor, it can solve the problem of high exhaust temperature of the compressor. At the same transpiration and condensation temperatures, different types of refrigerants have different exhaust temperatures. In addition to the common R22, there are also refrigerant types such as R134a. Users should add different refrigerants according to the requirements of industrial chiller manufacturers.
